Dad’s Favorite Teriyaki Style Ground Beef

Quick and easy ground beef

This quick and easy to make recipe is one of my dad’s favorite dishes, all you’ll need are 7 ingredients. You can be served this with a side of veggies and rice or simply thrown over a salad bowl.


Ingredients:

Extra lean ground beef (The leaner, the better. If you are plant based, you can definitely substitute the ground beef for the Beyond Beef or Impossible Burger.)

1 tbsp sesame oil

1 tbsp ginger minced

1 tbsp garlic minced


For the sauce you’ll need:

3 tbsp coconut aminos (you can substitute for soy sauce)

3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp Maple syrup

Salt & pepper to taste


Directions:

In a pan heat the sesame oil on medium heat. When the oil is hot add the garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes - until very fragrant. Next add the ginger and sauté again for another 2 minutes - until fragrant. Keep stirring so that it doesn’t burn and add the ground beef. Cook throughly until there is no more pink. When the meat is completely cooked, add the coconut aminos, Worcestershire sauce, maple syrup and about 3-4 tbsps of water. Cook for another 3-5 minutes and taste. Season with salt and pepper if needed and turn off stove. Serve over white rice with sesame seeds sprinkled on top and a side of veggies Or throw over a salad with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. ENJOY!!
